From what I understand, the only real difference is the transformer, build wise. The clean channel on the 92 is maybe more flat but the lead channel is more beefy. I'm sure both amps would blend well together

Yes sir. 6505+. I got it 8 or 9 years ago in a trade. I honestly love it to death. The 1992 original has more bottom end to it, so either dial the resonance back or use a boost in front. But both amps, using Rob's settings, are amazing. I think the 6505+ may have a slightly brighter clean channel but I haven't dug too deep into that yet

What I've noticed so far is the bottom end is more prominent, but a ts9 helps with that. The clean is still meh, but I'm sure it'll be a good pedal platform. But it sounds amazing and the old school look is awesome

Honestly man it doesn't hurt at all. It wasn't my first idea for color but it fit the budget better this way. I love it!
