Damn...idk if I can make a top ten list in any particular order. I know my most influential and favorite bands are Chimaira, Amon Amarth, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Dimmu Borgir. I love all four of those bands so much that I don't think I could possibly choose between them! Some of my other favorites, in no particular order, are: Literally anything Devin Townsend has touched (sorry Rob 🤣) Opeth Behemoth Nevermore Meshuggah Emperor Gojira Ensiferum Children of Bodom Belphegor Deicide Dark Tranquility Melechesh System of a Down (the band that started my journey into heavy music) I know this is way more than ten, but I can't bring myself to rank these bands because I love them all so much, haha.

Well, my first guitar ever was a Squier Strat (I now have it hanging on the wall of my home studio), and the next two guitars I got were Schecters. I loved those guitars, but I ended up trading one of them for an LTD KH-202 and I never looked back. For me, I think the necks on ESP/LTDs have always just felt perfect. I've definitely played some killer guitars from other companies, but something about these guitars just feels right for my style.

Sweet! Have they held up well over the years?

Is this the same M-1000 from the IOR touring era?

Thanks, man! I really really like the Fishmans. I feel like they’re the perfect middle ground between active and passive pickups. As far as EMGs go, I think the X series are by far the best I’ve tried. They have a lot more headroom than normal EMGs and seem to fit my style a lot more. Also, the 60X is the spankiest neck pickup I’ve ever heard, haha.

Love love love Opeth. I first got into them with Ghost Reveries, which was such an eye opening album for me. I’d never heard such an interesting blending of styles before that album. When I was 17, I got hired at my local entertainment store to work in the music section (back when there were these things called CDs), and during my second week of working there, Watershed came out. Every night I worked that summer, I would blast Watershed after close and force everyone there to listen to it, and it would play through the entire album at least once since it took so long to close the store. Listening to that album brings back so many wonderful memories, as well as being musically immaculate. Also, if you guys haven’t checked out Oceans of Slumber, DO IT. By far my favorite new find of 2020...to me they kind of sound like Opeth with female vocals.
