Is this the same M-1000 from the IOR touring era?
No, I think I got this one around 08'. But I still have all of my IOR era M-1000's!
Sweet! Have they held up well over the years?
Dude for sure... I know you've got some ESP's yourself, so you know what's up. These instruments are the shit. So well built and perfect in every way. I know I sound like a salesman, but I haven't made a penny from ESP since I left the road back in 2011. It's just that I truly believe in the quality, feel, and playability of these instruments, and stand behind them 1000%. Now I'm sure Jacksons and Ibanez's are just as well made, and if those guys came knocking on my door tomorrow, I'd certainly let them in and hear what they had to say. But until that happens, I'm an ESP guy till the cows come home. It also helps that I've taken exceptionally great care of all my guitars, and my gear from 2001 is still in perfect condition today. So those early M-1000's may have a few scratches and dings, but they sound and feel as good as they did on day one. What are your thoughts on the subject bro? And by the way, happy new year!đ¸
Well, my first guitar ever was a Squier Strat (I now have it hanging on the wall of my home studio), and the next two guitars I got were Schecters. I loved those guitars, but I ended up trading one of them for an LTD KH-202 and I never looked back. For me, I think the necks on ESP/LTDs have always just felt perfect. I've definitely played some killer guitars from other companies, but something about these guitars just feels right for my style.
@Aaron Prentice I hear ya!
